Breakfast at hostel. We will depart by private bus for a full-day field trip to explore some of the most important sites in medieval Toledo with its heritage of three co-existing cultures: Jewish, Christian, and Muslim. A local expert will lead our walk through the walled city including the Cathedral, the Sephardic Jewish Museum, and the Church of Santo Tomé which holds a painting by El Greco. Lunch on own. After that, we will have some short free time in Toledo to explore on our own and return to Madrid in the late afternoon. Dinner on own.
Breakfast at hostel. After breakfast, we will have a bike tour around the city center and Retiro park, visiting landmarks such as Puerta del Sol, Cibeles Fountain and the Crystal Palace. Lunch on own. Afterwards, we will be transferred to the train station, where we will take a train to Seville. After checking in at our residence, dinner on own.
Breakfast at residence. After breakfast, we will have free time to explore on our own or just relax. Lunch on own. In the afternoon, we will depart to Alandis Headquarters, a beautiful XIX century Andalusian house, where a local expert will accompany us in a brief walk of the area around the headquarters. After coming back there, we will meet up with local students and have an exchange activity with them. Dinner on own.
Breakfast at residence. Afterwards, we will depart by private bus to Cordova, the crossroads of civilizations, and the mainstay of Islamic and Jewish heritage in Spain. After lunch on own, we will enjoy expert-led explorations of the Jewish Quarter. The experts will also walk us through two of the greatest wonders of Andalusia: one of the last-standing ancient synagogues in Spain and the Great Mosque and Cathedral, known as La Mezquita. Then, we will depart to Seville. Dinner on own.
