Day by Day

Day 1

Overnight: Seville

Arrival in Madrid. Transfer to train station and train to Seville. Upon arrival in Seville, transfer from station to residence. Lunch on own. Afterwards, the Alandis staff will greet everyone and will review the program schedule, emergency procedures, and answer questions. After orientation, we will set out with our tour coordinator to take a walk and explore the area around the residence. At a restaurant, we will enjoy a delicious welcome dinner.

Day 2

Overnight: Seville

Breakfast at residence. In the morning, we will meet a local expert who will lead us inside the Cathedral, one of the world´s largest and most packed with historic treasures and art. Lunch at residence. We will have a free afternoon to explore independently. Dinner at residence.

Day 3

Overnight: Seville

After breakfast at residence, we will walk in MªLuisa Park and Plaza de España. Mª Luisa Park is Seville’s main green area and it is part of the private gardens of San Telmo Palace. Plaza de España was designed by the architect Aníbal González between 1918 and 1929 for the Ibero-American Exposition and it is also part of the park. Lunch at residence. In the afternoon, we will have free time to explore on our own or just relax. Dinner at residence.

Day 4

Overnight: Seville

Breakfast at residence. We will depart by private bus to Cádiz and we will visit the beautiful Tavira Tower. Then, we will spend a relaxing day and rest enjoying the sun and the sea. The beaches of Cádiz offer opportunities for all tastes, from the small and cozy La Caleta to the larger Blanca of La Victoria. Lunch on own. In the afternoon, we will return to Seville. Dinner at residence.

Day 5

Overnight: Seville. 

Breakfast at residence. Observation hours at hospital or clinic. Lunch at residence. Service Learning. Dinner at residence. 

Day 6

Overnight: Seville

Breakfast at residence. Clinical observation hours at hospital or clinic. Lunch at residence. Service Learning. Dinner at residence. 

Day 7

Overnight: Seville. 

Breakfast at residence. Observation hours at hospital or clinic. Lunch at residence. Service Learning. Dinner at residence.

Day 8

Overnight: Seville. 

Breakfast at residence. Observation hours at hospital or clinic. Afterwards, we will visit homestays and have lunch there. Service Learning. Dinner at residence.

Day 9

Overnight: Madrid.

After breakfast at residence, we will meet a local expert who will accompany us to the extraordinary Alcazar Royal Palace and lead us through this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch at residence. Then, we will take a private transfer to Seville train station, where a train will be waiting for us to take us to Madrid. From Madrid train station, we will be transferred to our hotel. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 10

Overnight: Madrid.

Breakfast at hotel. Free day to explore Madrid on our own. Lunch and dinner on own.

Day 11

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport at a designated time.

Discover the famous Rastro neighborhood of Madrid. An expert will explain how the Rastro began and how the first slaughterhouses in Madrid and tanneries were. We will learn about the history of Madrid’s “corralas”, analyzing their architecture and learning more about how the people of Madrid lived in the past.
