Itinerario Detallado

Día 1

Pernoctación: Madrid

Arrival in Madrid. Transfer to hostel. The tour coordinator will greet everyone and will review the program schedule, emergency procedures, and answer questions. After orientation, we will set out with our tour coordinator to take a walk and explore the area around the hostel. At a restaurant, we will enjoy a delicious welcome dinner.

Día 2

Pernoctación: Madrid
Breakfast at hostel. After breakfast, we will meet with a local expert to visit The Prado National Museum, one of the world’s leading galleries with a superb collection from the 12th century to the early 19th century. Among the masterpieces are works by Bosch, El Greco, Goya, Raphael, Rubens, Titian, Van Eyck, Velázquez, and many more. Lunch on own. After that, we will have a bike tour around the city center and Retiro park, visiting landmarks such as Puerta del Sol, Cibeles Fountain and the Crystal Palace. Dinner on own.

Día 3

Pernoctación: Madrid
Breakfast at hostel. We will depart by private bus for a full-day field trip to explore some of the most important sites in medieval Toledo with its heritage of three co-existing cultures: Jewish, Christian, and Muslim. A local expert will lead our walk through the walled city including the Cathedral, the Sephardic Jewish Museum, and the Church of Santo Tomé which holds a painting by El Greco. Lunch on own. After that, we will have some short free time in Toledo to explore on our own and return to Madrid in the late afternoon. Dinner on own.

Día 4

Pernoctación: Sevilla

Breakfast at hostel. After breakfast, we will check out and we will be transferred to the train station, where we will take a high-speed train to Seville. At the train station, we will take a private transfer to our hostel. Lunch on own. In the afternoon, we will depart to Alandis Headquarters, a beautiful XIX century Andalusian house, where Alandis staff will give us a tour of the building. After that, we will have our first Spanish class, in which we will learn some survival Spanish that we will use right after, when we will meet up with local students and have an exchange activity together. Dinner on own.

Día 5

Pernoctación: Sevilla

Breakfast at residence. We will have our second Spanish class at Alandis headquarters. Then, we will meet a local expert who will lead us in our explorations of Seville by kayak. We will be able to appreciate landmarks of the city from an unusual point of view, allowing us to enjoy impressive views, such as that of The Triana Bridge from below. Lunch on own. In the afternoon, we will have the chance to meet up with local families and spend some time with them in their homes. Dinner on own.

Día 6

Pernoctación: Granada

Breakfast at residence. Afterwards, we will take a transfer by private bus towards Granada and have a first stop in Cordova. There, we will enjoy expert-led explorations of the Great Mosque and Cathedral, the Jewish Quarter and one of the last-standing ancient synagogues in Spain. Lunch on own. Then, we will continue to Granada. Once arrived, we will meet with a local expert for a walk through the Albayzin, with its well-preserved Moorish streets. The Albayzin is Granada’s oldest Arab district, situated on the hill across from the Alhambra. Afterwards we will walk with the same expert on a field trip towards the Royal Chapel, final resting place of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. Dinner on own.

Día 7

Pernoctación: Sevilla
Breakfast at hostel. We will spend the morning at the magnificent Alhambra Palace and Generalife gardens with a local expert. The Alhambra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s most significant examples of Islamic art. gardens. This impressive fortification is located on a rocky hill on the banks of the Darro River and stands out above the city. Lunch on own. Afterwards, we will depart by private bus to Seville. After arriving in Seville, dinner on own.

Día 8

Pernoctación: Sevilla

Breakfast at residence. After breakfast, we will meet a local expert who will accompany us to the extraordinary Alcazar Royal Palace and lead us throughout this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, we will walk around Seville’s oldest neighborhood and former Jewish quarter, the Barrio of Santa Cruz. Lunch on own. In the afternoon, we will depart to Alandis Headquarters, where we will meet up with local students and have an exchange activity together. Dinner on own.

Día 9

Pernoctación: Sevilla

Breakfast at residence. After breakfast, we will meet with a local guide who will lead us inside the Cathedral, one of the world´s largest and most packed with historic treasures and art. Lunch on own. In the afternoon, at Alandis headquarters, a local expert will lead us in a class in which we will learn the traditional dance of Seville, Sevillanas, a typical dance from Spain. Afterwards, we will enjoy a delicious farewell dinner.

Día 10

Breakfast at residence. Transfer to the airport at one designated time.

Taller de pintura de cerámica

Aprende de la mano de un experto la historia y las principales técnicas de la cerámica sevillana mientras pintamos un azulejo que podrás llevarte a casa como recuerdo. Después, con el mismo experto, visitaremos el museo de la cerámica situado en el conocido barrio de Triana.

Excursión a Ronda

Descubre este maravilloso pueblo blanco situado en la Serranía de Ronda. Una vez que lleguemos nos encontraremos con un experto que nos guiará en nuestro paseo por el pueblo. Durante el paseo conoceremos el singular papel que jugó Ronda durante la Guerra Civil Española. Tras el paseo, visitaremos la plaza de toros más antigua de España acompañados por el mismo experto. Luego disfrutaremos de un delicioso almuerzo en un restaurante local. Después regresaremos a Sevilla.

Paseo por el Barrio del Rastro

Descubre el famoso barrio del Rastro de Madrid. Un experto nos explicará cómo empezó el Rastro y cómo fueron los primeros mataderos de Madrid y las curtidurías. Conoceremos la historia de las corralas madrileñas, analizando su arquitectura y aprendiendo más sobre cómo vivían los madrileños en el pasado. Visitaremos el Museo de Artes y Tradiciones Populares donde conoceremos la artesanía y el pasado industrial de Madrid. Una visita que te sorprenderá y te ayudará a tener un conocimiento más profundo de Madrid.
